Have you ever looked for that certain knife? You know, the perfect knife.
So, you look and read about different knives and what others are using and what they like and why. You study about different types of steel and the pros and cons and finally decide on the knife that you think is going to be that perfect knife and you save up and then buy it. Then the time comes where you take it and are about to use it for the first time and it just doesn’t live up to the hype. To put it plainly it just SUCKS!
Well… me too! that’s a big reason I started to make knives and to make leather sheaths. I hate it when the sheath just seems like it was an after thought. each of my sheaths are hand fit to each knife. I use high carbon steel because it simply out performs other types of steel. Sure it might not be “stainless,” but the patina that comes with time adds character to the knife. If you take care of it, it will stand the test of time and I hope be your “perfect knife.”
